Flame Retardant Polyester
Flame Retardant Polyester
- How Does The Flame Retardant Polyester Work Part 1For developing flame retardant polyesters, several measures have been reported in the literature to obtain thermally stable materials by modifying the structure of the polymeric materials e.g. introducing halogen, phosphorus, nitrogen, aromatic or hetero aromatic rings, crystallinity or cross-links etc.
Materials of Flame Retardant Polyester
Producing the flame retardant polyester must choice flameproof materials and special means. In order to reduce the flammability of materials, the following measures will generally be required:
1、 Modify the characteristics of polymers to increase the thermal stability of yarn or insulate the material surface in order to reduce heat transfer from the fire to the flame retardant polyesters.
2、 Increase the amount of char formation and thereby reduce the fuel amount.
3、 Decrease the diffusion of combustible gases from the material, formed as a result of pyrolysis to the flame.
4、 Reduce the amount of heat generated as a result of fire.
Flame Retardant Polyester Manufacturers
The flame retardant polyesters made from the flame retardant polyester yarn LiFRA®, possesses permanent flame retardant effect due to the yarn has been added into special phosphonium flame retardant substance during the polymerization process. These materials of flame retardant polyester without halogen not only have better flame retardant effect, but also more eco-friendly than the halogen-based materials. The flame retardant polyesters is difficult to be ignited and will slightly shrink and massed into conglobation when encounter flame.LIBOLON
